A flock of shoes

Abby, a young girl who loves her colorful sandals, is told by her mother at the end of summer that it is time for the sandals to go, and although Abby attempts to keep them, her sandals fly off of her feet at the park one day, migrate with other sandals for the winter, and send her postcards from afar.
