The soloist

Thirty-four-year-old Renne Sundheimer, a cello teacher at UCLA, has been deprived of a normal youth due to his early promise as a musical prodigy and his close relationship with his instructor, but he is forced to finally engage with life when he is called to serve on the jury for the trial of a Zen student accused of killing his master, and he takes on a brilliant new pupil.
