Forty years after the disappearance of a young scion to one of Sweden's wealthiest families, Mikael Blomkvist is hired to find out what he can. He teams up with Lisbeth Salander, a twenty-four-year-old genius hacker, and together they discover evidence of inequity within the missing person's family, corruption throughout the higher-ups of Swedish industrialism, and an odd connection between one another.
