Violet, having only told her family and boyfriend that she can sense dead bodies and agreed to join forensic psychologist Sara Priest's team of eclectic investigators after Sara learned about her ability, works on a case involving the murder of a college girl by a serial killer dubbed "the girlfriend collector" and runs the risk of becoming his next victim.
