Tells the story of Ruth Gold, whose mother, father, and brother died in a Romanian concentration camp in 1941, leaving her an orphan who was liberated three years later to wander the world, settling in Israel, then moving to Columbia with her husband, then on to America, and finally back to Transnistria where she attempted to come to terms with the tragedies of her life.
