Timber beasts

Labor movement secret agent Sage Adair, leading a double life in Seattle as a wealthy restaurant owner and a poor laborer, conducts his own investigation into the murder of a man, who was hired to do the dirty work of the owners of railroads, in order to clear the name of a young man who Adair knows is innocent.
