Fifteen-year-old Celia Bonnet, living with her unmarried mother and other single-parent families on a compound north of the Spanish Catalan border, learns her mother's boyfriend sexually assaulted her nine-year-old adopted brother, Morgan, and decides to run away to London where she hopes to meet her biological father, whom she knows little about.
