Tells the story of Hydeia Broadbent and her adoptive parents Patricia and Loren, looking at how their lives changed when they learned Hydeia had been infected with HIV at birth, discussing the family's efforts to prove doctors wrong when they predicted Hydeia would not live past the age of five, and examining her work, now as a teenager, as an AIDS activist.
