Waiting for Teddy Williams

Ethan "E.A." Allen, a boy raised in the remote village of Kingdom Common, Vermont, by his honky-tonk mother and crippled grandmother, shares the town's obsession with baseball and the Boston Red Sox, and with the coaching of Teddy Williams, a mystery man who arrives in town one day, becomes the pitcher who breaks the team's long-time losing streak.
