Chronicles the story of how a collection of eighteenth century writers, scholars, and scientists produced the twenty-seven volume "Encyclopedia" by challenging the ideas of the day, encouraging rationalism, free thinking, and secularism and thereby sparking the movement called the Enlightenment.
