Captain Honor Harrington has retired to the planet Grayson, but the Grayson Navy needs her when the People's Republic of Haven challenges Grayson. Captain Harrington must deal with powerful leaders of Grayson who want to kill her and must also heal her grief over the murder of the man she loves.
