Getting Started in Soccer

Modern soccer has come a long way since the first rules were drafted in Cambridge University in 1848. It is the sport of the people--even the poorest boys in the poorest countries can play, needing no more equipment than an improvised ball and a couple of sticks, rocks, chalkmarks or jackets for a goal.
