Sarah struggles to come to terms with her best friend Jamie's accidental death, in which she played a role, and is having problems at home, at school, and with her boyfriend. But she gains an understanding of interconnectedness while working for Roy, an eccentric Christmas tree-farm owner dealing with his own tragedy.
