A Grade Two teacher explains why she loves teaching and observing the changes in her students over the course of the year. Her students return the compliment, explaining why they love her and how she helps them learn. Sequences include references to one-room schools and the history of public education in America and provide brief biograhies of famous teachers such as Laura Bush and Christa McAuliffe. A typical school day is shown, including games to sharpen perception, reading lessons, art projects, and recess. The program concludes with Ms. Levine's explanation of why she loves teaching.
