Left in the care of a ne'er-do-well uncle in England when their mother is wrongfully imprisoned in Ireland and their father sets out to find work in Australia, siblings Clarrie and Will devise an elaborate plan involving ventriloquists' dolls, costumes, and forged boarding passes to reunite their separated family.
