The valleys of the Assassins and other Persian travels

The author describes her search for the lost city of Shabwe in Arabia between 1930 and 1932, during which time she traveled into Luristan, the mountain area between Iraq and present-day Iran, and encountered the Lords of Alamut, a group of hashish-eating terrorists.
