Landis Woodley is tapped in 1967 to direct a rock-and-roll movie which is being bankrolled by Tijuana financier Hector Diablo, but Diablo's stipulation that the film feature James Dean's rebuilt death car causes problems from the moment the vehicle shows up on the set.
