Christ, liberation of the world today

Written in the light of Vatican II, especially the Dogmatic Constitution of the Church, the author clarifies the Christian dogma of the Redemption as the world's liberation, that is, man's salvation in Jesus Christ. The Greek word for redemption (latrosis) means "to liberate". Earthly liberation can only be accomplished through faith in Jesus Christ who alone frees man from sin and its consequences. Under the action of the Holy Spirit Christ directs us to realize total liberation.
