Examines the life of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart through the women--both real and dramatized--who surrounded him, considering the influences of his mother, sister, cousin, wife, and sisters-in-law on the composer and his music, and examining the roles he created for women in his operas, as well as the divas who performed them.
