An autobiographical novel based on the life of reporter Michael M. Hastings, who in the story is an intern with "The Magazine." When the Iraq War starts Hastings' naivety about the world of journalism and must decide between the career journalists who can help him with his own career or siding with his friend in the field whom he feels is reporting the real news.
