Will o' the wisp

Aurora Grimeon is sent to live with her estranged grandfather on Ossuary Isle deep, in the southern swamps, after the death of her parents. She begins to explore the islands graves and meets those who take care of the tombstones and mausoleums, who follow the rules of Hoodoo magic, and finds herself in the middle of a mystery when the island residents start disappearing.
