In a postapocalyptic world, Malorie and her two children try to survive indoors without looking outside at the force that can turn humans into murderers. Malorie remembers back over the last four years at the circumstances that have brought them to this moment. Now Malorie must decide whether to take her small family downriver in a boat--blindfolded--to safety, and risk the force outside getting them.
