Compiles the first three official prequel novellas to George R. R. Martin's Game of Thrones title "A Song of Ice and Fire", that takes place a century before and recounting when the Targaryen line still held the Iron Throne, telling the story of Ser Duncan the Tall who towers above his rivals in stature if not in experience and Egg whose true name is Aegon Targaryen and who is a prince of the realm.
