Months after a driver plows through the masses lined up at a job fair in a stolen Mercedes, killing eight and wounding fifteen before escaping, retired cop Bill Hodges is haunted by the unsolved crime. When he receives a letter from someone claiming to be the perpetrator and promising a deadlier attack, Hodges becomes determined to prevent another tragedy.
