American dervish

Hayat Shah, a young American boy of Pakistani parents, develops a crush on Mina, his mother's oldest friend who arrives on the family's doorstep when her marriage in Pakistan falls apart, but when Mina begins to date a family friend, Hayat feels increasingly confused over his feelings for her and he begins to question all of his beliefs.
