A tale of two cities

A member of the French aristocracy, Charles Darnay, and an English lawyer, Sydney Carton, fall in love with the same woman, Lucy Manette, who marries Darnay, but Carton sacrifices himself when Lucy's happiness is threatened by the inevitable execution of Darnay during the French Revolution.
