A thousand nights

The evil King Lo-Melkhiin has killed 300 women before coming to the unnamed narrator's village. Knowing the king will want the loveliest girl for his next wife to kill, the narrator goes to Lo-Melkhiin's court in her sister's place, fully believing she will die within a day. However, the narrator is a great storyteller, perhaps even a magical one, and Lo-Melkhiin keeps her alive so long as she keeps him interested in her stories. Soon the narrator realizes that Lo-Melkhiin is not himself, and may need rescuing from a demon.
