Nine years ago, local radio personality Gail Gideon's rant about her husband's request for a divorce propelled her into international radio fame, beloved today by single women everywhere for her advice on how to reinvent themselves without significant others. Her daughter, fourteen-year-old Nic, has always felt pale and socially awkward in comparison to her outgoing mother, but after a horse riding accident puts her in a coma and she wakes up, Nic is a changed girl.
