When Beatrice's father takes a job in Rome as the head of the head of the history department at the American Academy, she's not thrilled to be moving there. Trying to fit in with other kids in a foreign country is hard, but solving a centuries-old mystery shrouded in a creepy local legend could be just the excitement Beatrice needs. The stakes get even higher when she witnesses a crime in progress and no one believes her. Now she's on a mission to solve an old and a new mystery.
