In 1905, Willy and his grandfather have been managing a Wyoming cattle ranch alone since the death of Willy's parents. A hard winter is made even more unbearable when Grampa suffers a severe stroke, and money becomes scarce. The only hope is that Willy enters a dogsled race and wins the $500 prize.
