Twelve-year-old ghost Riley, having been assigned to Roman gladiator Theocoles, is convinced by the beautiful Messalina that the only way to get through to Theocoles is to become human and helps Riley transform into a mature teenager, which gives Riley the opportunity to experience her first boyfriend and her first kiss, but makes her question if she wants to return to the afterlife.
