Famous in a small town

Sophie loves living in her small town with her small group of friends. This year her high school band will be marching in the Rose Parade. As president of the band's fundraising committee, she hopes to convince local-girl-turned-country-star Megan Pleasant to return home and give a benefit to raise money. The problem--Megan has vowed never to come back to her hometown. Adding to Sophie's worries is a new boy, August; she's infatuated with him but he keeps her at a distance.
