Mia and Brynn are thought to be the killers of their best friend, Summer. The "motive" was their obsession with a dark fantasy novel which made them murder her in the woods. But they didn't do it. On the anniversary of her death, a discovery opens up the mystery and pulls the girls back together. They must confront what really happened in the woods all those years ago.
