Looking for Marco Polo

Eleven-year-old Mark's father, an anthropologist, disappears in the Gobi desert while tracing Marco Polo's ancient route from Italy to China, and when Mark gets a bad asthma attack, Doc Hornaday pays a visit and tells Mark tales of Marco Polo to bolster the boy's courage.
