After her mother dies of cancer, ten-year-old Kitty and her sister move to New York City when her father accepts a temporary position. Initially resistant to moving, Kitty worries about forgetting her mother without the reminders of their London home. However, as she works through her grief and meets a new friend, she begins to understand that she can make new memories of her mother anywhere she goes.
