The story of a woman of royal birth, Jaya Singh, who must assume the role of Regent Maharani of Sirpur upon the premature death of her husband. She soon finds herself in the center of a political battle in which the future of the kingdom is at stake. Jaya is forced to realize her future as a leader of the Indian people.
