Katchoo and Francine, two young women who have been friends since school-time, share a house. Katchoo is an aspiring artist. Francine is in a rather stressful relationship with Freddie Femurs. The stress arises from the fact that Francine, emotionally damaged from too many "friendships" gone sour, wants to wait with sex until she can be sure that Freddie will not leave her afterwards.

Mysteriously covered by a strange metal that seems to be some kind of weapon, Julie Martin heeds the little voice that tells her to run from the NSB agent who is close behind her. Then, Julie finds herself face to face with someone else who is wearing some of the same metal and he is not a nice man.

Collects volumes one and two of Terry Moore's "Echo," which follows Julie Martin after she is caught in an explosion while taking photographs in the desert and gets covered in a strange metal that melds into a breastplate that she cannot remove.

Three installments recount the high school days of Francine and Katchoo. In the final issue the girls star in a satire of their favorite warrior princess.
