Pete the cat has a mitt, a ball, and a bat, and his team the Rocks are ready to play a game of baseball against the Rolls.

Biscuit the puppy is eager to see the plants and make friends with the animals in the garden.

As Pete the Cat searches underwater for a seahorse, he comes into contact with all manner of sea creatures.

Pete the Cat gets a pet named Goldie the goldfish, then paints a picture of her. Everyone likes it, and soon everyone wants Pete to make them paintings, too. Pete doesn't have time for everyone, so his mom comes up with a solution: paint a huge painting of Goldie and put it up in town for all to see.

When Pete the Cat bites into a bad banana, the taste makes him wretch. He decides never to eat bananas again, but a friend helps him see that one bad banana doesn't spoil the whole bunch.

Biscuit visits the library for "Read to a Pet Day." There Biscuit finds the librarian, a book, and a cozy spot with friends to read.
