For many years, the island of Mata Nui has remained shrouded in darkness, ruled by the evil Makuta. Then in an instant, everthing changes. Takua and Jaller find the sacred Mask of Light--now they must set off on a perilous journey to find its mysterious owner.
In the time before time, a great being watched over the ancient land of Mata Nui, protecting it from harm. But now a powerful evil has arisen, casting a dark shadow over the land.
Takua and Jaller stumble upon the sacred Mask of Light, which holds the power to free their island from the long, dark reign of Makuta, but they must find the mask's owner to make it happen.
