For many years, the island of Mata Nui has remained shrouded in darkness, ruled by the evil Makuta. Then in an instant, everthing changes. Takua and Jaller find the sacred Mask of Light--now they must set off on a perilous journey to find its mysterious owner.
In the time before time, a great being watched over the ancient land of Mata Nui, protecting it from harm. But now a powerful evil has arisen, casting a dark shadow over the land.
In order to defeat the evil Makuta and save the island of Mata Nui, the Toa Nuva must find the Kanohi Nuva, the most powerful of all the Masks of Power.
Finally joined together in the fight against evil, the Toa struggle to save the ancient land of Mata Nui from the Bohrok hordes sweeping across the land.
