After the Magickers successfully opened the Dragon Gate giving them access to the realm of Haven, the forces of Dark Hand threatened to open another gate that could destroy the Magickers and all of Haven.
Jason and his friends at Camp Ravenwyng have spent their summer learning to master their special abilities, and soon find themselves tested by their darkest enemies, the Dark Hand of Brennard.
Their education at Camp Ravenwyng having been interrupted by the Dark Hand's attack, Jason and his classmates discover that their homes are not necessarily safe from the Dark Hand's interventions, either.
Eleven-year-old Jason goes to summer camp and learns to develop his skills in magic; the camp is disrupted by the minions of the evil Dark Hand of Brennard and they follow Jason to his home where he must use his skills to protect himself and his family.
