Collects "Hellboy: The Third Wish," and "Hellboy: The Island" comics in which the title character, having left the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense, travels to Africa and lives under the sea, learning from magical creatures and experiences about his role in the coming apocalypse.

Hellboy, a creature summoned by a sorcerer in the employ of Hitler in 1944, is intercepted by the Allies and grows up to be a force for good, working as a detective with the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense.

The Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense has sent Hellboy out on what will be his final mission to a ruined castle in Norway to intercept a returning manned capsule that the Nazis launched sixty years ago and destroy its single passenger--the Conqueror Worm.
