Penny and Luke meet their magical helpers from the other side of the border just in time to stop the evil Queen of the Boggarts from invading their world.

Natalie learns that she might be a Keyholder like her classmates Penny and Luke; but first, she must form an alliance with a rat named Buttercup.

Apprentice Keyholders Penny, Luke, and Natalie return home, after saving Mr. Leery from the evil Queen of the Boggarts, to find all of the adults acting odd and decide to investigate the cause of the weird behaviors.
