Provides resources for librarians, teachers, school counselors, and parents for helping teens cope with such problems as depression, eating disorders, maltreatment, substance abuse, teen pregnancy, and cliques, including outreach programs, fiction books, bulletin board ideas, projects, and activities.

Contains eleven essays, each one co-authored by a literacy expert and a therapist, that provide information on how literature can be used to help troubled teenagers cope with various family problems.
