Halo has been destroyed, and the threat it posed to life, neutralized. Victory has come at a terrible price: thousands of soldiers have fallen and the enemy ships of Covenant still patrol the remains of Halo in debris-strewn space. The SPARTAN soldier, the Master Chief, must continue to rescue survivors while planning a first strike at what remains of the enemy.
