On the crystal clear morning of September 11, 2001 in Washington, D.C., Pentagon worker Dan Holdridge followed his friend outside for a cigarette break. Both were holding their clipboards with their orders for the day. Seconds later the terrorists hit the Pentagon with their airplane and Dan Holdridge's life was saved by his cigarette and the clipboard he held over his head to protect himself from falling window glass.
