Lindsay wakes up in the Marlwood Academy infirmary to learn that she is possessed by an evil spirit and tried to kill her nemesis Mandy and Mandy's boyfriend Troy and she must rely on an unlikely ally to rid the school of the ghosts that are trying to take over.

When Lindsay Cavanaugh transfers to the prestigious Marlwood Academy after she recovers from a breakdown at her previous high school, she discovers that there is something strange going on that involves a clique and some unsavory activities from the school's little-known past.
