Sam, an Israeli teen whose leg may have to be amputated, and Yusuf, a Palestinian teen who has lost his left eye, find themselves uneasy roommates in a Jerusalem hospital when one night the boys decide to slip past the nurses and make their way toward the Old City, in search of ancient secrets, but as they navigate the dark streets, they must defend themselves against perilous encounters in the desert and the city.
