Sawako has finaly realized she feels more for Kazehaya than admiration, but she still has a lot to learn about romance. And shy Chizu has her own troubles trying to build a relationship of her own.

Sawako "Sadako" Kuronuma finds it easier to fit in after she befriends a popular boy in her class. Meanwhile, Chizu gets the chance to declare her love for Toru, Ryu's older brother, when he returns home, but Ryu refuses to help because he wants Chizu for himself.

With Kazehaya attending a college near home and Sawako applying for school in Sapporo, the couple realize they are running out of high school days to be together and they separately wonder if they'll stay together past graduation.

The festival is over, and everyone's spirits are down.

The future is on eveyone's minds, and Yano and Kento are feeling the anxiety of losing each other as they hit a crossroad in their relationship.

Relationships undergo changes as Sawako spends more time with Kurumi and less with Kazehaya, Chizu reveals her feelings about Ryu, and Yano confesses something to Kento that he doesn't want to hear.

Spring is in the air, but doubts about the future bloom along with the flowers for Sawako and her friends. A bright spot in this season of worry is White Day, where the boys return gifts for the ones they received on Valentine's Day.

Kazehaya discusses his strict father with Sawako, deepening their relationship just in time for Valentine's Day, when Sawako plans to give Kazehaya chocolate for the first time.

A new year brings promise, with the budding relationships of Ayane and Kento, and Chizu and Ryu, and fear, with Sawako worried about choosing a career path.

After the Christmas party, Kazehaya finally kisses Sawako! But a kiss is not enough, and Sawako asks permission from her parents to stay out late with Kazehaya.
