Laura Brandon's father makes a dying request, asking Laura to visit Sarah Tolley, an elderly woman suffering from Alzheimer's, and Laura is shocked when the request leads her husband to a desperate act that changes Laura's life, as well as her young daughter Emma's, and is forced to turn to Emma's biological father for support and help in solving the mystery of Sarah Tolley's life.
